I am excited and honoured to invite you to attend the Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Diseases (PSSLD) 15th Annual Conference from 3 – 5, December 2021, at Serena Hotel Islamabad. COVID-19 pandemic has changed the life of all of us. It has affected our practices of managing patients as well. ‘Practising Hepatology in Changing Times’ is thus the theme of the Conference. As all the health care workers in Pakistan have been vaccinated against COVICD-19, we have made a bold decision to meet each other in person at the meeting, while observing the COVID SOPs. I am aware that some of you still will not be able to attend especially the international delegates, we have retained the hybrid model. I am proud to report that our last annual virtual meeting PSSLD was a big success and I am sure that the hybrid PSSSLD 2021 In Sha Allah will be an impetus to boost research, exchange views, and develop innovative protocols.

Dear Colleagues, It is a great pleasure and privilege to host the 15^th PSSLD conference in Islamabad Serena. It is indeed a time of uncertainty and difficult decisions. This was the situation when we decided to hold the hybrid conference, to balance the need for face to face interaction without compromising educational objectives.

Our team and sponsors have worked hard to bring the best of hepatology updates, state of the art lectures, post-graduate course and something and lot for everybody’s interest. I urge my colleagues in General Practice, Hepatology, Gastroenterology and General Medicine to grace the occasion and benefit us with their participation, opinions and queries.

CHAIR SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

Dear colleagues welcome and greetings. We are organizing 15^th Annual Conference of Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Diseases (PSSLD) as hybrid meeting due to COVID 19 pandemic, to minimize the health risks yet not compromising on the need of continuing medical education. The theme of the conference is “Hepatology in changing times”, which not only goes with the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic and also reminds us the progress in Hepatitis Elimination by 2030.

The conference has a blend of distinguished international and national faculty, where every faculty has been a star in the field of hepatology. The scientific program is covering every aspect of day to day hepatology and will whet the appetite of initiates and connoisseurs alike.
