  • World hepatitis day is observed all over the globe on 28th July every year, aims to raise Global awareness of hepatitis and encourage prevention, diagnosis and treatment.In contribution to this day Pakistan society of Gastroenterology , Pakistan society for the study of Liver disease, Digestive Disease Foundation and Post Graduate Medical Institute/Lahore General Hospital jointly organised a seminar on 28th July 2018 at PC hotel, Lahore.Chief Guest Prof.Dr.Brig.Masood Siddiq gave introductory remarks.Renowned GI personals Prof.Nusrat Ullah ch, Prof.Anwar A khan, Prof Altaf Alam, Prof.Ghias Un Nabi Tayyab, Prof Arif Nadeem and Prof. Shumail Zafar explained the epidemology of Hepatitis in Pakistan and introduce audiance comprising of more than 500 health care professionals including doctors, nurses and paramedics about the new guidelines of Hepatits B and C regarding diagnosis, management plans and related complications. Punjab health department personals elaborated the hepatitis control initiatives by Primary & Secondary health department and Specialised healthcare and medical education department. In the end Dr Israr ul Haque Toor extended vote of thanks to worthy faculty and participants.
